ASC Foundation Annual Scientific Meeting Travel Scholarships

The ASC Foundation supports travel scholarships to the ASC Annual Scientific Meeting. The Foundation will provide five Cytologist and five Fellowship/Resident applicants with a $2,000 scholarship.

The purpose of this scholarship is to provide multiple scholarships to Cytologists and Fellowship/Residents, based on need and merit, to defray registration, travel and hotel costs, and includes funding for three additional sessions (can include, but not limited to workshops, panel luncheons, etc.), and per diem allowance. The Travel Scholarship applies to the Annual Scientific Meeting.


 

APPLICATION INFORMATION

Cytologist/Cytotechnologist Qualifications

  • ASC Member in their first five years of membership or ASC member attending the Meeting for the first time.

Fellowship/Resident Qualifications 

  • ASC Member who will be in a residency or fellowship program at the time of the ASC Meeting

The submission deadline has passed for 2024.

The application will include:

  • Curriculum vitae that includes educational training indicating the time, place and degrees awarded, relevant awards and honors.
  • Letter from applicant explaining why he/she should be considered for the Scholarship. Included in the letter should be the applicant’s statement of career goals (no more than one page) describing the applicant’s short and long term career goals and how the ASM Travel Scholarship will enhance these career plans.
