Dear Cytology Family:

The ASC remains online as your Society during the present situation.
We will be available to answer relevant questions via our website and listserve.
As with all the other sources of information at hand, we urge thoughtfulness, use of universal precautions, and care for your co-workers and family.

We are working with other major pathology organizations to help achieve rational regulatory modifications to deal with the current crisis.

The best source of information remains at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention at for your questions about laboratory safety and COVID-19 in particular.
We will be providing news that pertains to our specialty, hopefully, without contributing to the information overload.

Stay safe and let us look toward November.

Michael Henry, MD, Secretary Treasurer American Society of Cytopathology
Güliz Barkan, MD, President Elect American Society of Cytopathology
