Clinical History

A 45 year-old female presented with chest pain and was diagnosed with a pericardial effusion.  Her past medical history was pertinent for pulmonary histoplasmosis and hypothyroidism.  Imaging studies confirmed a 6 cm mass in the mediastinum with compression of the main and right pulmonary arteries as well as impingement upon the left mainstem bronchus.  An EBUS FNA of the mass was performed.
