This award will be given every year to a cytopathologist or a cytologist from across the world. The winner would be an individual who has transcended geographical boundaries and contributed significantly to cytopathology education and research. The award would honor those with leadership roles at an international level and a track record of collaborative and organizational excellence in promoting the profession globally.

The criteria to achieve this award are:

• Professionalism & Character: adherence to ethical principles & conduct, accountability, respect for all groups, inclusiveness, & humanism traits
• Contributions Regionally or Globally including impact: major achievements and impact on education and healthcare
• Leadership & Service: boards, councils, committees, speaking, publications, awards
