The ASC provides numerous live and online educational activities including its Annual Scientific Meeting, the ASC Cyto-econference Webinars and Archives, eJournal, Case Studies, and the Progressive Evaluation of Competency (PEC) exams. The ASC monitors national recruitment issues and keeps abreast of legislative issues relating to the field of pathology. In addition, the ASC provides liaisons to major national and international medical and pathology related organizations such as the AMA House of Delegates, College of American Pathologists, Intersociety Pathology Council, and the American Society for Clinical Pathology Board of Certification.
